WOMEN’S WORKOUT & WINE WEEKEND
SEPTEMBER 17-20, 2026

1. Acknowledgment of Participation
I voluntarily choose to participate in the Women’s Workout & Wine Weekend (“Event”), including but not limited to fitness classes, hiking, self-defense instruction, wellness activities, social gatherings, wine tastings or consumption, water-based activities, transportation associated with the Event, and any other related activities (collectively, the “Activities”).
I understand that participation in the Activities is voluntary and that I may decline to participate in any activity at any time.
2. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in the Activities involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken by the Event organizers. These risks may include, but are not limited to:
- Slips, trips, falls, and collisions;
- Muscle strains, sprains, fractures, bruises, cuts, and other physical injuries;
- Overexertion, dehydration, heat-related illness, or other fitness-related conditions;
- Injuries arising from self-defense training, including accidental strikes, falls, or physical contact with instructors or participants;
- Risks associated with hiking, including uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, changing weather conditions, and remote locations;
- Risks associated with swimming, paddle sports, boating, water fitness activities, and other water-based recreation, including drowning or near-drowning;
- Risks arising from the actions or negligence of other participants;
- Risks associated with the consumption of alcoholic beverages;
- Illness, allergic reactions, or other medical emergencies.
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation in the Activities. At all times during the Activities, I acknowledge that my safety is my responsibility, and I will act accordingly.
3. Health Representation
I represent that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in the Activities.
I certify that:
- I do not have any medical condition that would prevent safe participation, or
- I have consulted with my physician and have been cleared to participate.
I agree to immediately inform Event staff if I experience pain, dizziness, injury, illness, or any other condition that may affect my ability to participate safely. I acknowledge that I should not participate in such Activities unless I am medically and physically able to do so.
4. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Event organizers, hosts, instructors, trainers, guides, volunteers, sponsors, venue owners, contractors, affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or causes of action arising from or related to my participation in the Activities, including those resulting from ordinary negligence, breach of duty, breach of contract or mistake or error of judgment of the Released Parties.
I am not relying on any oral, visual or written representations or statements made by the Released Parties with respect to the safety of participation in the Event.
This release applies to personal injury, illness, disability, death, property damage, economic loss, or any other loss arising from participation in the Event.
5. Self-Defense Activity Acknowledgment
I understand that self-defense instruction may involve demonstrations, drills, partner exercises, and physical contact.
I acknowledge that even when conducted under supervision, self-defense activities involve a heightened risk of injury, including bruises, strains, sprains, falls, and other physical injuries. I voluntarily assume these risks and agree to follow all instructor directions and safety requirements.
6. Hiking and Outdoor Activity Acknowledgment
I understand that outdoor activities may take place in areas where hazards exist, including uneven surfaces, rocks, roots, steep terrain, insects, wildlife, changing weather conditions, and limited access to emergency medical care.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in outdoor and hiking activities.
7. Water Activity Acknowledgment
I understand that water-based activities may involve swimming pools, lakes, rivers, oceans, paddleboards, kayaks, flotation devices, boats, docks, beaches, or similar environments.
I acknowledge that participation in water activities carries risks including slips, falls, water-related injuries, and drowning. I certify that I will participate only to the extent I feel comfortable and capable and will comply with all safety instructions provided.
8. Alcohol Responsibility
I understand that alcoholic beverages may be available during portions of the Event.
I agree to consume alcohol responsibly and acknowledge that:
- Participation in Activities while impaired increases the risk of injury;
- I am solely responsible for my decisions regarding alcohol consumption;
- The Released Parties are not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses arising from my consumption of alcohol or impairment.
I affirm that I am of legal drinking age in the jurisdiction where the Event is held.
9. Medical Treatment Authorization
In the event of an injury, illness, or emergency, I authorize the Event organizers to obtain medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to do so.
I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of treatment provided
10. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, litigation, liabilities, damages, costs, losses or expenses (including legal costs) of any kind whatsoever arising from my actions, conduct, or participation in the Event, or negligence on part of the Released Parties, arising out of or connected with my participation in the Activities.
11. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12. Governing Law.
I agree that this this Participant Liability Waiver and Release Agreement and all terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia. I hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario located in Vancouver.
13. Acknowledgment and Signature
I have had sufficient time to carefully read this Participant Liability Waiver and Release Agreement. I understand its contents in its entirety and fully understand that by signing it I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring certain claims against the Released Parties.
I sign this Agreement voluntarily and without inducement.
